Music is integral to worship at South Church , working to deepen the faith experience, strengthen fellowship and familiarize newcomers with the church. We are in an exciting period of musical expansion and transition. As our congregation grows increasingly multicultural, and as the music that reaches each of us with a resonance of the Holy is diverse, we are seeking to draw out the voice of the congregation, and focus on soulful music of all styles to connect us with God, ourselves and one another.
Jeff Olmsted is serving as our Acting Director of Music through June 2026. In that time, South’s Music Ministry Discernment Team will be working with the congregation to clarify and create the Music Ministry position we will be looking to hire for in the new year.
South has a “Pop-Up Choir” every 4th Sunday of the month. This is a great opportunity to sing and connect with others! Come to the church at 9am on the 4th Sunday and learn a song to share during worship that day.
